How I tie in to my bowfishing arrows using the AMS Safety Slide. Using the double loop method has proven to be a very effective, quick, and easy way to tie my bowfishing arrow onto my line. The big benefit of this method is being about to quickly get the arrow off the line in the event of a complete pass through when it's hard to thread the arrow back through the fish body. Sometimes it's just quicker to pull the line off the arrow and pull the line back through the fish, then reattach the arrow. I've been shooting this setup for a lot of years and have never had a single problem. I keep my spare arrows all set up with loops so that I can quick-change if necessary. When the carp are rolling, the last thing you want to be doing is trying to re-tie a knot on the string. I can rig an arrow and be ready to shoot in under 10 seconds. with the double loop method. |
