CHAN:Wearing a bikini and high heels, socialite Paris Hilton discusses U.S. energy policy and her plans to paint the White House pink in a new spoof campaign commercial to be released this week.STORY:The joking announcement for Hilton's commercial and campaign comes a week after the Republican presidential candidate John McCain, labeled his rival Democrat candidate Barack Obama a celebrity icon. McCain's commercial features the comparison of Obama with tabloid photos of Britney Spears and socialite Paris. Paris' commercial opens with a voice over identifying McCain as the "oldest celebrity in the world" over images of the presumptive Republican candidate next to shots of the ancient character "Yoda" from the Star Wars films. It then moves to Hilton lounging on a lawn chair in a leopard print swimsuit and gold high heels discussing her own qualifications for the presidency, namely being a celebrity and being "hot." Switching gears, Hilton attempts to play it straight outlining her own energy policy. It includes a combination of McCain's preferred offshore drilling and Obama's plan to offer tax incentives to companies producing eco-friendly vehicles. Hilton also discusses her search for the best place to get a tan and her plans to paint the White House pink. |
