Many friends of the outdoors like the idea to have a simple hunting weapon with them when they're backpacking. A bow and some arrows are very desirable, but then again this is bulky and heavy. This video shows Jörg Sprave's outdoor slingbow/slingshot survival bag. It contains- A slingbow (arrow shooting slingshot)- Three collapsible arrows- Three razor sharp broadhead tips- A Hunter Catapult slingshot- Ten steel balls- Spare bands and string- A small multi tool for changing bands in the fieldThe whole bag weighs less than 3 pounds (about 1200 gramms). The slingbow shown in this video is built around a so-called "whisker biscuit", the core of a popular arrow rest for bows. It does the job very well, but it had to be reinforced with steel in order to make it strong enough. |
