"The Hottie and the Nottie" not doing well at the box office is a measure of how much the public can think for themselves, which isnt much. Most rejected the filmbefore even seeing it. If they took the time to watch it they'd see that it's a good movie. There's nothing wrong with it. It was well done!Critics said it was predictable, well... most of us learn during high school thatalmost all romantic comedies are predictable. It was a "romantic comedy" not"Psycho". If you want something unpredictable watch Hitchcock movies. But I have to add that the ending to this movie did surprise me.As for Paris Hilton, what did she do wrong? Her character was very natural and funny. She did the part well. We all remember a "Crystabel Abbott" from school. Hercharacter was believable. She did it well. The movie had some very funny parts. One of the favorite scenesis when she's talking to her stalker through the window. " Randell that better be forty feetaway" while she presses the restraining order against the window. That's only one of the many funny parts of the movie. As for the other actors, they all did very well. I heard that it was shot in a very short timeand it was also the Director's first full length feature film. With that in mind I'd give itfour out of five stars. I'm not much for a grading scale on things, but if I had to rate thisfilm, I'd have to give it that. It's a good watch. Cool ending, but can't say that I agree with Nate's final choice. Call me shallow, but I would've forgotten about June Phigg. Sorry.Al/phreviewzParis Hilton News and Reviews |
